FAQs

What does a personal trainer actually do?

When I coach online, I consult, program and troubleshoot. I use my experience to find ways of tailoring exercise and nutrition to your lifestyle. I make videos teaching good form or do it live on camera.

I also do those things in person, but can also motivate, correct and adjust in real time. I can also bring all the equipment!

Will you motivate me?

Accountability is one of the main reasons people have a PT; if you’re accountable to someone else who has your best interests at heart, you’ll do the work. Then, motivation follows action - as you feel better and feel the benefits of the sessions, you’ll want more!

I have a medical condition, is that ok?

It’s usually not a problem if you have a medical condition - as long as your doctor agrees that it’s a good idea for you to train. I have Exercise referral and Cancer Rehab qualifications and deal with patients who are referred by GPs and Physios every day.

Is it worth the money?

Having a personal trainer can seem like a real luxury, but if you see it as an investment in your future health and happiness, it’s worth every penny (I would say that though wouldn’t I?).

Depending on your requirements, you can have sessions at any frequency, with discounts for bulk buying.

What experience do you have?

I started my fitness career in one-on-one coaching, have run weight loss programs for local authorities, and helped hundreds of people tackle illness and injury after treatment by the NHS.

I’m qualified in Cancer Rehabilitation and have worked on a successful pre-hab pilot scheme in NE London.

Running is my passion and I’ve coached amateur athletes and ultra-runners in person and online.

I’m an exercise and nutrition research nerd so you don’t have to sift through the masses of advice and claims in the press/social media.
